Special Event: Graduate Research Symposium

The Fruit Fly ITTC is ready to launch a new exciting Symposium to celebrate five years since its official establishment in June 2016.

The Graduate Research Symposium is an opportunity for the Fruit Fly ITTC-funded PhD students and alumni to present what they have learned through their research experiences to a larger audience. The Symposium also provides a forum for any fruit fly community member to discuss cutting edge research topics and to examine the connection between research and education.

The Symposium will include presentations by students and alumni from all the partner Academic Institutions of the Fruit Fly ITTC: Macquarie University, Queensland University of Technology and Western Sydney University. The Fruit Fly ITTC Director Prof. Phil Taylor and Node Leaders Prof. Anthony Clarke and A/Prof. Markus Riegler will be introducing the sessions by providing the audience with an overview of the research activities carried out at their respective institutions since the Centre was established.

This online event is supported by Research Attraction and Acceleration Program (RAAP) of NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment.
